Biography

Hind Benbya is Professor and Head of IS and Business Analytics at Deakin Business School. Hind has over eighteen years leadership experience as Head of IS, Chair in Digital Business and Director of MSc in different countries including France, Italy and the USA.

Hind’s research interests include digital innovation, IT-enabled transformation and Artificial Intelligence. Her work has appeared in MIS Quarterly, the Journal of Management Information Systems, MIT Sloan Management Review, MISQ Executive, and Decision Support Systems, among others. She is currently senior editor of the MISQ Executive, guest senior editor for the Journal of Association of Information Systems and a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Strategic Information Systems.

Her research has been funded by corporations such as Sanofi, IBM, CIGREF, and FNEGE, and she is the recipient of several best paper awards (e.g. Academy of Management and HICSS). She has been a visiting professor at Cambridge Judge Business School and UCLA Anderson School and is currently a fellow at Oxford Internet Institute. Hind holds a Habilitation Diploma from University of Paris XI (France), MSc and a PhD from University of Salento (Italy), MSc from IAE Aix-en-Provence and a BS from ISCAE Business School (Morocco). Hind speaks English, French, Italian and Arabic and is a keen runner.
