Henry Lu

Henry is the founder and principal training consultant of Henry Lu Consultancy (HLC). Since 2014, HLC has been assisting leading financial institutions to design and facilitate global certification programs for risk professionals in an effective manner. Henry and his training associates have delivered more than 1500 training sessions for numerous clients including global banks listed in Fortune Global 500. Henry is an ICA certified trainer and has been selected out of more than 80 trainers worldwide to be certified as a master trainer in delivering Train-The-Trainer (TTT) programs and accrediting other trainers for his client. Prior to setting up HLC, Henry has served more than 26 years in various financial institutions within Asia Pacific. The roles that he has undertaken include Fraud & Authorization Manager, Branch Manager, Product Manager, Head of Credit Underwriting, Head of Collection, Head of Operations and MLRO. He has a wealth of experience in fraud detection/prevention, financial crime risk, AML/CFT knowledge, compliance and credit risk, with practical skills covering front office and back office controls across a diverse range of financial service activities including retail banking, commercial banking, trade finance, product management and operations risk management.
