Biography

As Managing Partner at Katalysen, Heiner runs the firm’s Swiss operations from Geneva, being primarily responsible for Katalysen’s extensive international network of relations.

Together with Katalysen founder Peter, Heiner co-founded derivatives market maker QT Optec in 1986, arguably Switzerland’s first fintech company. He has deep experience applying mathematical finance as an investor, e.g. at hedge fund UBS O’Connor, and in advising families and institutions at UBS and other private banks. Heiner’s vast experience as founder, advisor, and board member has resulted in three published books in the field of finance.

Heiner believes in developing partnerships and companies by connecting, networking, and exchanging. Both people and companies live in communities, and networks matter.
