Biography

Harvard Graduate School of Design

After attaining her undergraduate degree from Smith College and Master’s Degree in architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design, Heather Wells worked in residential architecture firms in Philadelphia and San Francisco before shifting focus. In 1993 she joined a prestigious Chicago interior design firm where she became managing director.

In 1997 Heather left to launch her own firm with offices in both Boston and Chicago. Her unique blend of an architect’s sensibilities with sophisticated, informed style led the firm to the most discriminating clientele.

Today, after nearly two decades of traveling between two cities Heather has chosen to remain Boson-based. Her firm has 12 full-time employees and designs projects across the country. Projects include residences ranging from urban penthouse apartments to large suburban estates and vacation compounds.

Heather’s work has been published in numerous local and national publications including Architectural Digest and Elle Décor.
