THNK School of Creative Leadership

Hayley Treider is an emerging playwright, songwriter, and former actor who has trained and worked professionally in the theatre for over a decade and been surrounded by music her entire life. See more information about her new musical play on the DAWN tab of this website.

Hayley began work on DAWN at SPACE on Ryder Farm as a fellow of the The Leonore Annenberg Fellowship Fund for the Performing and Visual Arts, which she was nominated for by her alma mater, the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. The first workshop of DAWN was produced at the Emerging Artists Theatre’s New Works Series, and most recently at NYC’s Signature Theatre, produced by Sonnet Repertory Theatre. NYC acting credits include plays at Classic Stage Company, the New Victory, HERE Arts Center, and Ars Nova’s ANT FEST. She has worked in new-play development with Rattlestick, The Public, Playwrights Realm, the Lark, NY Stage & Film, Civilians, the Vineyard, and MCC, and can be seen on film in “Orange Is the New Black,” “Law & Order: SVU,” “Person of Interest,” and “The Drama Dept.” Musical performances include “A Night Benefiting Paul Newman’s Whole in the Wall Gang Camp at Avery Fisher Hall,” and Seth Rudetsky’s “Spotlight” with Joel Gray & Veanne Cox. Regionally, Hayley has performed at Westport Country Playhouse, Two River Theatre, Actors Theatre of Louisville, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Kansas City Repertory Theatre, and Bard Summer Festival. She is a proud member of AEA and SAG/AFTRA, and a volunteer of Artists Striving to End Poverty.
