Hassan Qudrat-Ullah

Professor (Full) of Decision Sciences at York University

Biography

-

Dr. Hassan Qudrat-Ullah earned his Ph. D. (Decision Sciences) in 2002 from NUS Business School, National University of Singapore. Hassan did post-doctoral fellowship at Carnegie Mellon University, USA, in 2002-2003 before joining York University in 2003. Hassan’s research interests include dynamic decision making, system dynamics modeling, computer-simulated interactive learning environments, and energy planning models.

The courses Hassan teaches on Quantitative Methods, Decision Analysis, Logistics Management, and Advanced Decision Making benefit from his research on and experience with organizations in Bahrain, Canada, UK, China, Pakistan, Norway, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Colombia, Spain, Zambia, Algeria, Switzerland, Korea, and the US. Hassan’s work has been published in Energy, Energy Policy, Decision Support Systems, Computers & Education, and Simulation & Gaming. Hassan’s current research project examines 'the role of structured-debriefing in dynamic decision making'. Hassan continues to serve as a reviewer for Energy, Energy Policy, and System Dynamics Review. Hassan is a member of the IEEE, DSI, and International System Dynamics Society. Hassan enjoys traveling and has been to 129 countries: part studies, part business and (the most) part pleasure. Hassan’s social interests include ‘systems thinking for K-12’ and ‘birds-watching’.
