Hasmukh Gajjar is associate professor in the area of Operations Management and Quantitative Techniques. He has earned Ph.D. from Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management(SJSOM), IIT Bombay. He has several years of experience in teaching courses related to Operations Management and Quantitative Methods in variety of programmes offered at IIM Indore.

He has published his research work in the leading international journals such as Annals of operations research, International journal of retail and distributions, Journal of Internet commerce and Asia pacific journal of operational research. He has written several cases from which one is published at Ivey cases.

His research interests are in the domain of retail operations, e-tailing operations, optimization theory, meta-heuristics and modeling. He is presently working in the domain of shelf space optimization, warehouse optimization, retail staff –scheduling and product returns in online retailing.
