Hans Vanoorbeek supports the school in its activities around entrepreneurial buyouts. Together with Professor Miguel Meuleman he co-founded the Platform for Entrepreneurial Buyouts (“PEBO”), where he contributes with his experience as a practitioner. As partner of the Steering Committee he equally shares his knowledge and expertise on the topic.
Hans Vanoorbeek is managing partner and co-founder of BV Capital Partners, his own private equity holding, since mid 2003. He is currently also a Director at Aquasourca, the private equity investment vehicle of the family Defforey, in Luxemburg and a senior adviser of Chequer’s Capital, a mid size French private equity firm. Prior he was active in London in private equity for over 8 years as a Partner at BC Partners and as an Associate Director at IK Investment Partners. He is a shareholder and board member of several companies.
Hans holds an MBA from Harvard University and he possesses a masters degree in Applied Economics (UCL) and a masters degree in Law (KU Leuven). He equally has a bachelor’s degree in philosophy (KU Leuven). Hans is currently Adjunct Professor at INSEAD where he teaches the Leveraged Buy Out elective.
