Biography:
Hae-Jung HONG is an assistant professor at NEOMA BS in France since September 2012. Before joining NEOMA BS, she was a visiting research fellow at INSEAD, France. Dr. Hong research on Roles of Multiculturals has been published in Harvard Business Review (HBR) in April (special dedication for the first French version of HBR) and June 2013 (co-authoring with Yves DOZ, INSEAD). This article has been selected by Harvard Business Review Press for the "HBRs 10 Must Reads on Managing Across Cultures". Dr. Hong’s research has been published in International Journal of Cross-Cultural Management (2011). She also co-authored the book chapter (2012), "The Global Team Leader Dilema: Diversity and Inclusion". In addition, her works have been published in the media such as Forbes and South China Morning Post. Dr. Hong was selected as a finalist for the Barry M. Richmans Best Doctoral Dissertation Award by International Management Division at Academy of Management, 2013 and awarded a Highly Commended Award Winner of the 2013 Emerald/EFMD Outstanding Doctoral Research Awards in the Management and Governance category. Dr. Hong was a visiting professor to teach the executive education at INSEAD, France. She has been invited for the top executives education by ENEC (Emirates Nuclear Energy Cooperation, UAE), SKT (#1 Telecom company in Korea), and AmorePacific (#1 Cosmetic company in Korea). She participated in the consulting team for the project of Finding Tesco Values – training nine Asian employees as in-house ethnographers to find Tesco values in Tesco UK and Ireland. Professor Hong also leads research with several companies such as Deloitte LLP London and HAY Singapore. Dr. Hong holds an MBA from Cornell-ESSEC Business School in France and USA and a PhD in Management from ESSEC Business School in France.
