Biography

UCLA Anderson School of Management

Gregory Pollack is Founder & CEO of Partnership Brand Management, a company that identifies and creates partnerships and alliances, brand positioning and provides brand consulting. Gregory founded the company more than two decades ago, in answer to a growing marketplace need, noting that companies could rapidly escalate their growth through partnerships that would acquire new customers and subsequently find alternative channels of distribution. Such partnerships would create marketing programs geared to increasing product sales. In essence Gregory was a pioneer in this category. Today, partnerships are part of most companies’ marketing strategies.

Gregory has amassed more than 20 years of a successful track record in creating strategic programs for national and international companies, as well as for specialized boutique luxury brands. These include some top companies and brands such as Twentieth Century Fox International Theatrical, St. Francis Winery and Vineyards, Viking Cruises, Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, The USC Marshall School of Business, LEGOLAND California, Kodak, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, Pieology Pizzeria, MGM Home Entertainment, and Dole Packaged Foods.

Additionally, Gregory has brought his marketplace knowledge and expertise into the University arena both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. He is currently an Adjunct Professor in the UCLA Anderson School of Management in the Executive MBA and Fully Employed MBA Programs teaching the “Brand Management” course. He has also been an Adjunct Professor in the USC Marshall School of Business, in the Department of Marketing, teaching Upper Division courses as well as within The Office of Executive Education Division and its Management Development Program. Gregory is the recipient of the 2016 Golden Apple Award for Teaching Excellence, the USC Marshall School of Business’ highest honor and award for teaching excellence, presented to the Professor who has had the greatest impact on their students as voted by the Marshall School of Business Student Government and Student Body. Additionally, he has been an Instructor at UCLA Extension for many years, having taught numerous senior-level marketing courses including the Strategic Marketing Capstone course.

Prior to founding Partnership Brand Management, Gregory spent more than nine years managing clients on the agency side. At Adams & Rinehart, a division of Ogilvy and Mather, he managed Hyundai Motor America, including product launches and brand positioning, as well as two national unveilings of the Hyundai prototype sports car, which is in market today as the “Tiburon.” His Silver-Anvil award-winning agency work at international public relations firm Fleishman-Hillard included the direction and management of new product launches for clients Ralston-Purina, The Eveready Battery Company, Lever Brothers, Jack-In-The-Box, and Continental Airlines.

Gregory has been a member of the Board of Governors for the USC Alumni Association, having served on its Executive Committee and as its Chair of the Branding and Communications Committee. For more than 12 years, he has also been a member in the USC MBA Mentoring Program. Gregory has published numerous articles in both print and online formats in brand vision and marketing including, “The Art Of Reinventing Your Business,” and “Define Your Brand and Sharpen Your Competitive Edge,” published in “Chief Marketer.” Additionally, Gregory has been much in demand as a lecturer at Universities and has regularly been invited as a keynote and guest speaker for global, national and regional conferences and summits.

Gregory has an MBA from the Executive MBA Program at the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism/Public Relations from the University of Southern California.
