Biography
Mr. Gregory J. Owens serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of IronPlanet, Inc. since August 1, 2007. Mr. Owens is responsible for IronPlanet''s development, refinement and execution of IronPlanet, Inc.''s overall business strategy and tactics. Prior to IronPlanet, Mr. Owens served as the Managing Director of Red Zone Capital Management Co., L.L.C. (formerly, RedZone Capital). He also served as Chief Executive Officer of Manugistics Group, Inc. since April 1999 and served as its President from June 2002 to June 23, 2003. From 1993 to 1999, he served as Managing Partner of Logistics and Planning, as well as Managing Partner of Global Supply Chain Management, at Andersen Consulting (Accenture).
Mr. Owens serves on Georgia Tech’s President''s Advisory Board as well as the Scheller College of Business Board. He is Treasurer of Georgia Tech Foundation.
He has been the Chairman of IronPlanet, Inc. since August 1, 2007. He served as Chairman of Manugistics Group, Inc. since February 2001 and served as its Director from April 1999 to April 2005. He currently serves as Director of PRGX Global, Inc., 3VR, Inc. and Xeeva, Inc.
