Giulia Rancati is a cell and evolutionary biologist. She is Senior Principal Investigator at the Institute of Medical Biology, A STAR and Principal Investigator at the Biotransformation Platform for Innovation, A STAR, Singapore.

In 2011 she was awarded the A STAR Investigatorship and in 2017 she become an EMBO Young Investigator. Among her scientific contributions, she showed how eukaryotic cells adaptively evolve in response to extreme genetic perturbations and the consequences of large-scale genome changes on the cellular phenotype.
