Gerard Hargreaves

Business experience

During his 30-year career, Gerard Hargreaves has specialised in executive development. As a presenter and consultant, he has worked with many organisations in both the public and private sectors. Throughout his varied career Gerard has worked for an international firm of executive development consultants. He has held a number of appointments, including managing subsidiary businesses and consultancy teams and responsibility for product development and marketing. For a time he was also Head of Director Development at the Institute of Directors. At the IoD Gerard successfully developed one-to-one executive coaching and mentoring programmes for directors and senior executives. He has led IoD courses for 25 years.

Professional credentials and training experience

Gerard is a member of the Institute of Directors, Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, Association for Coaching, International Stress Management Association and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. Gerard now operates as a consultant and executive coach, helping individuals and organisations achieve maximum performance and effectiveness. Based in London he has worked in Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific regions. Gerard has worked with a range of organisations across sectors including JP Morgan, CMS Cameron McKenna, TLT Solicitors, Howes Percival Solicitors, Commerzbank, Deutsche Bank, Harrods, Kurt Geiger, Hackett, Links of London, Coca-Cola, PSL, Thames Reach and for the civil service DIUS/BIS. Gerard has also broadcasted on BBC television and radio and has written books: Making Time, Stress Management and Managing in the Email Office.
