Severstal Ventures было создано как специальное подразделение "Северстали" в 2018 г. для развития венчурных проектов в области новых производственных технологий и материалов. Задача Severstal Ventures - привлечение технологий и проектов с высоким потенциалом как через инвестиции в профильные венчурные фонды, так и работая с проектами напрямую.

У Severstal Ventures нет технических ограничений по размеру фонда, так как он не является фондом в классическом понимании. Планируется, что инвестиции Severstal Ventures на первом этапе будут составлять не более $20-25 млн в год.
