Biography

Gené holds a PhD from Lulea University of Technology, Sweden as well as a M.Com Communication Management (cum laude), B.Com Honours Marketing Management and a B.Com Communication Management (cum laude) from the University of Pretoria, South Africa. Her knowledge and experience are rooted in both national and international contexts.

She has been in the education field most of her professional life. As a former academic, she has presented at various national and international conferences on various topics and has a series of publications in accredited journals. Her research interests focused on the area of marketing, new media, and digital and customer engagement.

As an independent contractor, Gené engages with several projects in the areas of research, marketing, digital, communication and collaboration. She designs and facilitates various programmes at a number of different institutions ranging from customised and accredited programmes, and topics she mostly facilitates are marketing, branding, relationship management, customer engagement, communication and collaboration.
