Gary Reiff, JD, serves as senior advisor of UCHealth, a nationally recognized health care system, which includes 12 Colorado hospitals, with about 2,000 inpatient beds and more than 150 clinics in Colorado, southern Wyoming and western Nebraska. In his role as senior advisor, Gary is executive sponsor for projects assigned by the CEO and provides regular advice to the CEO. Gary previously served as chief legal officer of UCHealth, during which time he was responsible for overseeing legal, compliance, governmental and regulatory affairs for UCHealth.

Gary is an attorney and executive leader with more than three decades of legal experience in Colorado. He was the chief legal officer, chief administrative officer and a managing director for Black Creek Group, a Denver-based international real estate investment firm. Gary also served as chief compliance officer for two companies related to Black Creek.

Before joining Black Creek Group, Gary was a partner with Brownstein Hyatt & Farber, PC, in Denver, where he served on the Executive Committee of the firm. Gary has been an adjunct professor at the University of Colorado Law School, teaching law students courses on basic and advanced real estate transactions. Gary also worked in the Colorado Governor’s Office and as general counsel for a U.S. senator’s campaign.

Gary is active in the Colorado civic community and currently serves as the president of the Denver Board of Water Commissioners and as a board member of the Downtown Denver Partnership. Gary previously served on several other civic boards, including as chair of the Colorado Transportation Commission, chair of the Board of Trustees of the University of Northern Colorado,chair of the Board of Trustees of the State Colleges in Colorado, and vice-chair of the Denver Urban Renewal Authority.

Gary holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Economics from Stanford University and a Master of Arts degree from the Food Research Institute (economics of development) at Stanford University, and he graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School.
