As Executive Director, MS in Business Analytics, Dr. Charvet bridges the gap between academics and industry, helping set strategic direction and further develop the program with regard to student admissions, industry relations and career services, and student experience. He also provide input and collaborate closely with the existing MSBA leadership and extended team on matters related to program administration and curricular development.

Francois comes from BCG GAMMA, Boston Consulting’s in-house global team focused on growing business through applied data science and advanced technology. At BCG GAMMA, Francois specialized in leading and delivering supply chain analytics project, on topics covering supply chain network design and optimization, as well as demand planning, inventory optimization, and transportation modeling. He was a founding member of BCG Gamma, and helped support significant expansion from ~30 to 650+ team members. Francois consulted for a number of large clients across retail, consumer goods, industrial goods, and life science.

Prior to BCG, Francois worked in the Logistics Strategy group at Staples, Inc., where he was responsible for setting the strategic direction governing Staples’ network of Fulfillment Centers, Distribution Centers, and Delivery Hubs. Francois led the introduction of network optimization tools and helped develop an analytics-driven approach to model flow paths within Staples’ supply chain.

Francois was also a full-time faculty member at Northeastern University, and part-time lecturer for Boston University (Questrom), where he taught several courses related to supply chain management, including supply chain analytics. He has been published in the Journal of Business Logistics, Journal of Supply Chain Management, and Supply Chain Forum: an international journal.

Francois holds a Master in Business Engineering from the University of Antwerp, a Master in Information Systems from the University of Missouri- St. Louis, and a Ph.D. in Business Administration/Supply Chain from the The Ohio State University (Fisher College of Business). He is a past board member of the New England CSCMP Roundtable and the National Collegiate Table Tennis Association.

Francois loves to spend his free time with his wife, 7-year old daughter and two cats, unless he manages to sneak out to find table tennis practice time.
