Dr. Wang’s research focuses on developing new methodologies for advancing molecular dynamics and Monte Carlo simulations. He and his team are currently developing methods for accurate force field development and enhanced sampling. The objective of their work is to significantly advance the power and accuracy of molecular modeling.  Their method is being used to address challenging problems related to materials, energy and biology. Group members are investigating interesting physical and chemical properties of ice, methane clathrate, graphene, and simple molecular crystals of pharmaceutical importance.
