Hertie School of Governance

Felix Lill is a Doctoral Student at the Hertie School of Governance. His main research area is in demographic ageing and intergenerational relations. He analyses welfare and transfer regimes in Germany and Japan, asking whether and under what conditions population ageing may provoke generational conflict. His dissertation is supported by the German National Academic Foundation. Felix is also a journalist for Die Zeit, Die Presse, Der Spiegel and Neue Zürcher Zeitung, among others. In 2014 and 2015, he won the Innovation in Development Reporting Grant (European Journalism Centre).
