Dr. Everlyne Makhanu earned her Doctor of Education degree in Education Management from the University of South Africa (UNISA) in 2010.Her research was on the Integration of Technology for Quality Leadership in School Performance Improvement. She obtained her Master of Education in Educational Administration from University of Eastern Africa, Baraton in 2003.She graduated with a Bachelor of Education (Science) degree in Mathematics and Chemistry from Kenyatta University in 1997.Everlyne is a social scientist with interests in: Quantitative Research Methodology; Quantitative Decision Analysis; Performance Management; Quality Improvement in organizational leadership; ICT Policy and its strategic implementation. She was a high school Mathematics teacher for 12 years before joining Strathmore University in April 2011. She has taught courses at graduate level including: Research Methodology; Policy and Planning in education and Principles of Management in the school of Humanities and Social sciences at Strathmore University. Her areas of research supervision pivots around the interplay of technology and organizational performance; quantitative analysis and decision making. Everlyne has so far supervised to completion 15 Masters Level Theses from three programs: Master of Business Administration (MBA) with bias in performance improvement; Master of Science in Education Management; and Master of Science in Mobile Telecommunication and Innovation whose mobile applications are in organizational management. Everlyne served as the Academic Director for @iLabafrica-Strathmore University from October 2012 to June 2016. Her main responsibilities included; Directing and supervising academic programs in the Safaricom Academy based @iLabAfrica; Supervision of projects related to ICT capacity building; and Teach Research Methodology to Masters Students in the Safaricom Academy. During this period, she successfully graduated 116 Masters Students with MSC Mobile Telecommunications from the Safaricom academy; ICT capacity enhanced for Teachers in various parts of rural Kenya; and High school girls from selected rural schools were introduced to computer programming. She has joined Strathmore Business School as a faculty in the areas of Quantitative Analysis and Research Methodology both in the postgraduate programs and Executive Education Programs. She is a member of British Education Leadership and Management Society (BELMAS).
