Eva Heidbreder is a fellow at the Hertie School of Governance. She is Professor for Political Science / Multilevel Governance in Europe at the Otto-von-Guericke University in Magdeburg. From 2008 till 2016 she was Professor for European Integration at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf. She has served as a visiting professor at various universities, including the Freie Universität Berlin, the University of Konstanz and the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin, as well as undertaken short term teaching engagements at the University of Antwerp and the Science Po Grenoble. Furthermore, Eva Heidbreder has obtained her education at institutions across Europe; after completing her PhD in Political Science at the European University Institute (Florence), she spent a year as postdoctoral fellow at the Freie Universität in Berlin and subsequently worked as an associate professor there. She holds a Postgraduate degree in European Integration from the Institute for Advanced Studies (Vienna), a Magistra Rerum Europae from Osnabrück University and an MA in European Studies from the University of North London. She has also taught at the University of Antwerp and at Sciences Po Grenoble. From 2010 till 2012 she was a postdoctoral fellow at the Hertie School of Governance.
