Eva Cools earned a KU Leuven master degree in Pedagogical Sciences (2000) and graduated as a Doctor in Applied Economics at Ghent University (2007). She currently is the research manager of Vlerick Business School. Within this role, Eva is responsible for implementing Vlerick’s research strategy, which aims for rigorous and relevant research with impact on a broad range of stakeholders. Recently, she also took up the role of DBA manager, being responsible for the programme development, quality assurance and guidance within the DBA programme. The Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) programme is a joint initiative of Vlerick Business School with the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Ghent University, which offers experienced professionals the possibility to engage in a four-year part-time doctoral programme.

Her own research focuses on cognitive styles, person-environment fit, entrepreneurship and management education. She is co-editor of a Routledge book on cognitive styles and published her work in management, education as well as psychology journals. Eva was the academic leader of the 13th Education, Learning, Styles, Individual differences Network (ELSIN) conference in Ghent, Belgium.
