Since 2008 he has created the first Colorectal Center for the management of the follow-up of patients undergoing colorectal surgery, in particular MAR, where more than 350 pediatric patients are currently followed. He also contributed to the growth of neonatal surgery by promoting agreements with other hospitals in Lombardy, bringing it to a current average of 120-150 neonatal surgeries a year.

Graduated in Medicine and Surgery, with a specialization in Pediatric Surgery, at the University of Milan in 1995. In 2001 he also obtained a specialization in General Emergency Surgery and Emergency Department.

He began his career as a guest doctor abroad, in 1993 at Kinderkrankenhaus in Cologne (Germany), in 1995 at Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool (UK) and in 2005 at Schneider Children's Hospital in New York (USA). . In 2002 she is Senior Registrar at Red Cross Children's Hospital in Cape Town (South Africa). In Italy, he was Acting Director of Pediatric Surgery at the “V. Buzzi” in Milan in 2007 and since 2014 he has been Director of Pediatric Surgery at the Milan Polyclinic. In 2009 he was invited Professor of Pediatric Surgery at the University of Cape Town (South Africa) and since 2011 he has been at the University of Milan as Adjunct Professor of Pediatric Surgery in various Specialty Schools.

He collaborated as a professor at the University of Cape Town (South Africa). He also collaborated as a pediatric surgeon consultant with the hospitals Ospedale del Ponte in Varese, San Gerardo in Monza and Sant'Anna in Como.

The research activities are mainly concentrated on congenital malformation pathologies, especially on the techniques applied to neonatal surgery and fetal surgery, also in collaboration with international structures.
