Erin Frey is an Assistant Professor in the Management and Organization Department at the Marshall School of Business at USC. She studies how people and organizations respond to misconduct and workplace failures. Using a a mix of quantitative and qualitative methods, she examines both restorative approaches after misbehavior (such as apologies, reintegration, rehabilitation, and repair) as well as more punitive responses (such as termination, discipline, and revenge). Her research has been published in outlets like the Academy of Management Journal.
