Biography
Harvard Business School
Erika Bailey is the Head of Voice and Speech at American Repertory Theater at Harvard and a Lecturer in the Theater, Dance and Media concentration. Professor Bailey is also a communication coach. Using her background as a theater artist, and her research into rhetoric and communication, she assists professionals in honing their message, connecting to their audience and delivering content with passion and clarity. In the Boston area, she has coached individuals in the performing arts, in academia, in medical research, and in non-profit leadership. She has led workshops on presentation skills throughout the Harvard community including appearances at the Harvard Business School, the Kennedy School of Government, the Harvard Ed School and Harvard Medical School. In her coaching work with individuals she focuses on developing presence, clarifying non-verbal communication, text analysis and delivery, and increasing confidence and articulation skills among English language learners.
