McCourt School of Public Policy

Erica Greeley is the Vice President of Economic Mobility at Feeding America. Feeding America is the national network of 200 food banks and 60,000 local agencies that distributed over 6B pounds of food to over 40M people last year. Feeding America is committed to providing food today, and to mitigating food insecurity tomorrow. Erica leads the Empower Strategy, with the goal of increasing the long-term financial wellbeing of households facing hunger. Their approach is to develop partnerships at the intersection of the charitable food system and related domains, such as workforce and financial health. Prior to Feeding America, Erica held several senior positions at Independent Sector (IS), the national leadership forum for charities and foundations, where she led major projects to understand drivers of success across the nonprofit community and map nonprofit networks. In her role as Vice President of Networks, she also oversaw IS membership and engagement. In addition, Erica served as the Deputy Director for the National Council of Nonprofits, an organization representing over 20,000 local organizations, with responsibility for programs, public policy, and communications. She began her career running afterschool programs for girls in underserved neighborhoods in San Jose, CA. Erica is an adjunct faculty member at Georgetown University’s Center for Public and Nonprofit Leadership. She holds a master’s in Public Policy from the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown and a B.A. from Wesleyan University.
