Enda Hargaden is an Assistant Professor of Economics in the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee with a joint appointment in the Department of Economics and the Boyd Center for Business and Economic Research.

His research focuses on taxation and public policy. In his job market paper, he found that the responsiveness of employees to taxes declined during the Great Recession, and about two-thirds of this decline can be attributed to changes in the composition of the labor force.

He earned a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Michigan in 2016 and prreviously studied at  Trinity College Dublin and University College Dublin.
