Biography

Lagos Business School

Professor Enase F. Okonedo, FCA, is a professor of management and an accomplished professional with over 30 years’ experience in the financial services and management education sectors.

On the 1st of January 2021, she became the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Pan-Atlantic University. From 2009-2020, she was the first female and third Dean of Lagos Business School. Before that, she held various leadership positions at the School and developed and taught courses in problem-solving and decision making; corporate financial management; and financial strategy.

Under her leadership, she led the School to achieve international accreditations from AACSB International, as well as Association of MBAs (AMBA) joining an elite group of only 2% of top business schools in over 70 countries with these accreditations. As dean, she has ensured that Lagos Business School sustained its Financial Times of London ranking becoming one of the top 50 global providers of Open-Enrolment and Custom Executive Education programmes in 2020.

She has at various times over the past several years served in the management education sector as a board member and chairperson of the Association of African Business Schools (AABS); a member of the Academic Advisory board of the Global Business School Network (GBSN); a member of the Board and Secretary-Treasurer of AACSB International; and on the advisory boards of different schools.

She serves as a member of the board of the Global Business School Network; the Graduate Management Education Council (owners of the GMAT™ exam), Principles of Responsible Management Education as well as other corporate entities including Ecobank Transnational Incorporated.

Enase, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA) received her doctorate from International School of Management (ISM) Paris, France, her MBA from IESE Business School, University of Navarre, Spain and her bachelors in Accounting from the University of Benin, Nigeria. She is also a Fellow of the Society For Corporate Governance Nigeria (SCGN) and the International Academy of Management (IAM).
