IESE Business School

Manos (short for Emmanouil) Gkeredakis holds a BSc in Business Administration (Athens University of Economics and Business), a MSc in Operational Research and Management Science (with distinction, Aston Business School), and a PhD in Management (Liverpool University).

Manos studies how organizations might exploit new opportunities for digital innovation with a focus on crowdsourcing. He is particularly interested in the management and ethical challenges that crowd-based organizations face. In his research, Manos employs a variety of qualitative methods and uses multiple sources of online and offline field observations, interviews and archival data. His research has been published in top management journals, such as Information Systems Research, Organization Studies, Information and Organization.

Before joining IESE, Manos worked for several years at Warwick Business School in the UK (as assistant professor of information systems), where he received numerous awards for his teaching at Postgraduate and Executive MBA programmes. Between 2013 and 2014, he joined the NYU Stern School of Business (in New York) as Postdoctoral Research Scientist and Visiting Scholar.

Manos acts as a reviewer for top academic journals, such as Information Systems Research, MIS Quarterly, Organisation Studies, Information and Organization. He is also an invited member of the ESRC Peer Review College and the US National Science Foundation.
