Overview

I am interested in how our brains use information from our senses (e.g. vision or touch) to create movements such as picking up a cup. In particular, my research looks at perception and motor control in conditions such as autism and Parkinson''s Disease. Biography

I am a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health within the Division of Neuroscience & Experimental Psychology. I gained a BSc(Hons) in Orthoptics from The University of Liverpool in 1998, then came to Manchester (formerly UMIST) to undertake a MSc in investigative Ophthalmology and Vision Sciences, followed by my PhD which was completed in 2003.  After 2 and half years as a postdoctorate researcher at the Psychology department, The University of Birmingham, I rejoined Manchester to take up my current post.
