Biography
A little bit about myself if you’re still here: I’m a humor and personal essay writer based in New York. Specifically, I’m the first writer to be based out of Brooklyn. Ever. I’m the only one. Don’t look it up, just trust me on this.
I hold a BA in Government and American Studies from Cornell University and an MBA from the Yale School of Management. The fact that I have an MBA often surprises people, which I take as both a compliment and an insult. But mostly a compliment.
Now, I’m one of the Managing Editors for The Belladona Comedy and a Script Reader for Roundabout Theatre Company. My nine-to-five is working as the Business Manager of Visitor Experience for the Central Park Conservancy. I like to think my persona on the internet differs from the professionalism I bring to the office (writing this sentence for you, future recruiters!). Because of that, I’m always curious if my colleagues have looked me up online (I’ve looked them up, after all). So if you work with me at the Central Park Conservancy and have read to this point on my website, stop by my desk and find a casual way to use the phrase “I’m feeling like an upside-down kangaroo.” It’ll be a win-win, because I’ll know you read the “About Me” section of my website, and you’ll get to say a silly sentence at work. And it’ll unite us, in a secret-code-word sort of way.
