Biography

Kelley School of Business

My professional mission is to welcome, support, and affirm business-interested students to Indiana University and the Kelley School of Business. As a Lecturer for BUS-T 175, Compass 1: The Individual, I provide students with skills and tools to develop their personal brand and lead them on a journey to find their own professional direction.

I am able to combine my years of experience as an educator, career coach, and academic advisor, to support and challenge students, opening their mind to career possibilities and helping them articulate and fine-tune their values, interests, personality, and skills. I use my skills and knowledge to guide students, with compassion and commitment, towards their authentic selves so that they can showcase what makes them special and unique.

In addition to teaching Compass 1, I also developed and teach a course for the Kelley Living Learning Center, The Exploitation of Animals for Profit. This course combines two of my passions, teaching students and advocating for animals. I strive to bring my enthusiasm and compassionate nature to both my professional and personal endeavors.

You will most often find me meeting with students celebrating their successes, walking one of my beloved dogs, outdoors behind the camera lens, and, when I’m lucky, sailing on the turquoise blue waters of Northern Michigan in the summertime.
