Biography
Professor Elvis Au, BBS, is currently an Adjunct Professor of the Department of Urban Planning and Design and Department of Geography of HKU teaching climate change and energy, sustainable waste management and environmental assessment/sustainability for undergraduate students and environmental planning and strategic and community planning workshop for master students. He is a Fellow of both the Hong Kong Institute of Planners and Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE), with over 37 years (including 32 years in the Government) of experiences in environmental protection, sustainability, climate and energy and smart city development. He is the former Deputy Director of the Environmental Protection Department of the HKSAR Government, the Former President of the International Association for Impact Assessment, and the Former Chairman of the Environmental Division of HKIE.
