Elena Pérez Garrigues, March by the Higher Technical School of Architecture of Madrid (ETSAM), is the Founder and Design Director of Ninom, an internationally recognized and award-winning multidisciplinary design and architecture studio founded in 2006. Ninom is based in Madrid , but also has satellite offices in Shanghai and Kuala Lumpur.

Elena's work ranges from architecture and heritage restoration work to interior and set design, including the renovation of the Cvne Winery (recognized Best of Wine Tourism Architecture 2010), the Chen Yifei Museum in Zhu Jia Jiao (Shanghai), and set design for Tussore, performed at the Teatro Real in Madrid.

His work has been recognized and published in international magazines, including Detail, AIT, Formas de Projectar and the Taschen Books: Architecture Now! Eat, Shop, Drink by Philip Jodidio. He has also been exhibited in various exhibitions such as "Great Wines, New Architecture" at COAM and "Architecture in Dance" at COAAvila. His scenography work has been used in numerous performances such as the Artistic Residences of the Casa Encendida and at the University of Alcalá de Henares, or the Creation Grant of the Nave del Duende in Cáceres.

Currently, Elena teaches in the Design Studio of the first year of the Bachelor in Architectural Studies at IE School of Architecture and Design, and Interior Design at IED. She is an Honorary Lecturer at Hong Kong University at the Shanghai Study Centre, HKU-SSC, teaching Urban and Architecture Design Studio.

Previously, Elena also taught classes in the Master on Creative Intelligence, Design and Communication at UPM, receiving the Academic Excellence award. Elena has also shared her work in different universities and institutions, such as Tongji University in Shanghai (Sino Spanish Dialogue on Contemporary Architecture), Tel Aviv University (Tilanqiao: The future of the Jewish settlement in Shanghai) or Intermediae-Matadero . (Alterpolis Urban Lab).

Elena also serves as Vice President of SAS, Spanish Architects Society, in China, founded by herself in 2012 in search of connection and exchange of knowledge between the different agents of the architectural process between China and Spain.
