My current doctoral students are researching the following areas:

Strategic management accounting practices in SMEs in Malaysia, the impact of IFRS adoption and transparency and synchronicity in published accounts, the impact of quality CSR reporting in quoted companies, the impact of new organisational forms on accounting education.

I would be interested in supervising future doctoral students in the general areas of: levels and quality of investor disclosure in published accounts, strategic management accounting practices (adoption, implementation and outcomes), and the impact of outsourcing and shared services on the accounting function and accounting education.
