Biography

Edward P. Freeland is the Associate Director of thePrinceton Survey Research Center and a Lecturer at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. Dr. Freeland teaches a graduate seminar on survey research methods (WWS 593e) and advises faculty and students who are conducting survey research projects.  Before coming to Princeton, Dr. Freeland was a Senior Research Director in the Social and Policy Research division of Response Analysis in Princeton NJ, where he was responsible for developing new projects in the areas of social welfare and health policy.  From 1992-1996, he was a Survey Director at Mathematica Policy research where he supervised large-scale research studies conducted for the US Department of Education and the US Department of Labor.  From 1989-1992, he served as a Program and Policy Analyst for the New York City Housing Vacancy Survey.  Dr. Freeland received his PhD in Sociology from Princeton University in 1992 and his BA in Philosophy from the University of Connecticut in 1981.
