Biography
Ed Slapansky is an instructor in the Department of Finance & Real Estate at the Driehaus College of Business. His teaching focuses on financial modeling, business valuation and investing.
Slapansky has more than 20 years of professional experience as both an investor and as a corporate advisor. His investment experience includes analyzing both equities and credit securities as a senior investment analyst and later managing his own $225 million long/short portfolio. Prior to investing, Slapansky spent 12 years as an advisor focused on acquisitions, turnarounds and distressed situations including chapter 11 bankruptcies. Previous employers include AllianceBernstein, Blackstone Group and Huron Consulting Group. He now runs an independent advisory and investing firm.
