Darla Moore School of Business
Doug Hanslip is the director of Graduate Career Services and the director of Graduate Program Employer Relations at the University of South Carolina's Darla Moore School Business in Columbia, South Carolina. His background includes more than 20 years of recruiting, coaching, human capital management and business development experience.
Prior to joining the University, Doug served as partner in several of the world’s largest executive search firm’s New York and Chicago offices including Korn Ferry Intl and Allegis Group, leading the respective firm’s Financial Services Practices. Doug’s industry specializations included asset and wealth management, alternatives investments (hedge funds and private equity), and corporate banking and global capital markets. He has successfully conducted countless recruiting mandates and corporate search projects for many of the world’s top organizations in these functional and asset class arenas.
Recognized for broad and deep financial services expertise, Doug is prominently perceived as an industry thought leader in this dynamic, fast paced and intellectually charged vertical. Before entering executive search and talent acquisition, Doug led teams in the IBD/Global Markets Divisions of Bank of America, Lehman Brothers, and NatWest Bank (now RBS).
Doug’s deep recruiting domain expertise and broad cross industry network and networking skills have allowed him to be a meaningful contributor in addressing human capital initiatives, organizational change, and talent development in multiple industries and for industry publications and industry conferences including Pension and Investments, GAIM Hedge Funds USA, Bloomberg News, CNBC, and The Steet.com to discuss topical ideas as an industry SME.
A two-time graduate of Northwestern University, Hanslip earned an undergraduate Bachelors of Science degree, followed by an MBA in Finance and Management Policy from The Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
