Dr. Dipti Gupta is currently Assistant Professor in Business Sustainability area with Indian Institute of Management Lucknow.

Her primary research interests include Energy Policy, Corporate Social Responsibility, ESG Strategy for Business Sustainability, and Energy-Economy Modelling.

Her research has been published in reputed international journals such as World Development, Transport Policy, Energy, Transportation Research Part D: Transport and Environment, Climate Policy and Economic and Political Weekly. She has presented her research at various international forums of repute such as Sustainability and Development Conference organized by University of Michigan, Scenarios Forum held in University of Denver, and International Workshop on Sustainable Road Freight by University of Cambridge. Her research on financing renewable energy also featured in the national newspaper Times of India.

She has been associated with International Centre for Research on Environment and Development (CIRED, Paris) as Visiting Research Scholar since 2016. She is a member of India Climate and Energy Modelling Forum, NITI Aayog. She contributes to the processes mandated by COP, CMP, CMA and subsidiary bodies under UNFCCC as a member, UNFCCC roster of experts. She has been presenting her research on energy-economy modelling at the Annual IMACLIM International Network Workshop since 2017.

She was invited by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Indian Railways to present her research on decarbonisation of transport sector in India. She has been a part of multiple International and National externally funded projects. She is currently part of multi-country research project on freight transport decarbonisation to achieve net-zero emissions.

She completed Doctoral Program in Management in Public Systems area from Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad in 2019. She has corporate experience with Freescale Semiconductor India before joining Doctoral Program.

Her current research interests include Energy Policy, Corporate Social Responsibility, Strategy for Business Sustainability, and Energy-Economy Modelling.
