Dina Van Dijk is a lecturer in the Department of Health Systems Management at the Faculty of Health Sciences and the Guilford-Glaser Faculty of Business and Management at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. She teaches research methods, social sciences in management and work motivation. Dina received her Ph.D. from the School of Business Administration of the Hebrew University in 2003 and completed a one year post-doctoral fellowship at the Technion. Her main area of research is work motivation and she specifically explores the influence of self-regulatory focus processes on the success of feedback interventions, leadership, health behaviors and well-being. Dina published her work in top OB and management journals such as Academy of Management Review, Journal of Organizational Behavior and Applied Psychology: An International Review. Dina received prestigious Awards for her work, including the Best Competitive Paper Award from the OB division of the Academy of Management (Chicago, 2009). Additionally she received research grants from the Israel Science Foundation (ISF) and from the Israel National Institute for Health Policy Research (NIHP).

During 2010 – 2011 Dina was on a Sabbatical year as a visiting scholar at the Tory Higgins lab in the department of Psychology, Columbia University, NY.

  • 2002 – 2003: Post-Doctoral studies. Industrial Engineering and Management Faculty at the Technion. Advisor: Prof. Miriam Erez.
  • 1997 - 2002: Ph.D. The Business School of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, majoring in Organizational Behavior. Advisor: Prof. Avraham N. Kluger. Thesis title: “The effect of feedback sign and regulatory focus on motivation and performance”.
  • 1992 – 1996: M.A. magna cum laude, BGU, Department of Behavioral Sciences, majoring in Organizational Psychology. Thesis title: “Practice in the use of Graphic Organizer and its effect on high and low level readers”.
  • 1989 - 1991: B.A. magna cum laude, BGU, Department of Behavioral Sciences.
