UCL School of Management
Diego is an Adjunct Teaching Fellow at the UCL School of Management and a PhD in Economics candidate at the London School of Economics and is also affiliated to the Centre for Economic Performance (CEP) in the Communities Programme. He is graduated from the MRes in Economics program at LSE and also holds a MA in Economics degree from Universidad Nacional de La Plata. He has worked as consultant for the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank. Before coming to the UK, Diego also worked as researcher for the Center for Distributive, Labor and Social Studies (CEDLAS) and as doctoral Fellow for the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET) in Argentina.
Diego’s academic interests focus on Labour Economics, Organisational Economics, Development Economics and Applied Microeconomics. His research explores the effect of immigration on labour markets and the importance of networks and social interactions in determining socioeconomic outcomes. A second strand of his research studies how face-to-face communication can affect productivity within organizations that rely on team production. Other areas of his research include the impact of education on earnings inequality, the measurement of multidimensional poverty and the local geographical effects of crime deterrence policies.
