Professor Diana Phillips was awarded her Ph.D. at the University of London. She is a Full Professor at the University of Antwerp, Faculty of Applied Economics, and a former head (2003-2009) and deputy head (2000-2003) of the Department of International Business Communication. She is very interested in innovative curriculum and materials design.
Professor Phillips lectures in Business Communication and Management Communication at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She also teaches in executive MBA programmes, both in Belgium and internationally, and provides social skills training for managers. She is a regular Visiting Professor at Aalto University School of Economics (Finland), the Centre for Management Training (University of Warsaw, Poland), the University of Gdansk, Poland (MBA/International Business) and Canisius College (Buffalo, NY). Her current research interests are business communication, lexicography and financial terminology.
Her principal publications are two financial dictionaries, Elsevier’s Dictionary of Financial Terms in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish and Dutch (Elsevier, 1997) and Dictionary of Corporate Finance and Investment in English, German, French and Dutch (Wolters-Kluwer, 2001). In addition, she has published six books and a considerable number of articles in the fields of business and management communication. She is currently working on a Dictionary of Personal Finance Terms in English, French, German and Dutch.
