Desmond Chan

Desmond Chan is the current Head of Global Product, Trust & Safety at ByteDance. Prior to this, they were the Vice President Of Product Management, Identity at Zumigo Inc. from January 2019 to July 2021. Desmond has also worked as a Senior Manager - Data Management at Yahoo! from January 2007 to December 2010 and as the Director of Product Management & Engineering - Online Checkout at PayPal from January 2010 to December 2019.

Desmond Chan has a Masters Degree in Management of Technology from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Desmond also has an Advanced Leadership Program for Executives from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. In addition, they have a Certificate in Design Thinking and the Art of Innovations from Stanford University. Desmond also has a Certificate in Web Security from Stanford University. Desmond Chan also has a BA in Math (with focus in Computer Science) from San Jose State University. Finally, they have a Business Negotiations certification from UCLA Anderson School of Management.
