Henley Business School
Denis is a Visiting Executive Fellow and Associate Client Director at Henley Business School, where he specialises in Leadership and Team Development and Coaching. He coaches and runs leadership programmes at senior team and Board Level in a wide range of global blue-chip organisations. Denis also teaches on the Henley MBA and is a Lead Tutor for the Henley Professional Certificate in Coaching, and the MSc in Coaching and Behavioural Change.
Born in Hong Kong of a Chinese mother and English father, he was educated in the UK and returned to Hong Kong in adult life. He qualified as a Ship Broker, working in Hong Kong, London, Sydney and Singapore, where he became Director of a Shipping company.
Denis developed his interest in Behavioural Sciences in Australia, where he lived and worked for 12 years. He completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis in 1990, and returned to the UK in 1991, where he set up his own training and development company, which he has been running ever since.
Specialising in multi-cultural and global leadership, Board development and coaching, Denis has co-authored several books; ‘Coaching Essentials’, 2nd edition 2012, Bloomsbury Publishing, ‘Under Pressure’, a book on stress in the corporate environment, Marshall Cavendish, 2010, and his new book as co-author, ‘Coaching for Leadership, Insights from Neuroscience’ published with Bloomsbury in 2015.
He has an established reputation as a top-level coach and tutor, working with a pragmatic and practical focus which is based on his own experiences in the international business world.
