Biography
McCourt School of Public Policy
Deepak Bhattasali was with the World Bank in Washington DC, specializing in development economics. He has worked on countries in most regions of the world, and had two stints in the World Bank's field offices in China and Indonesia, providing advisory services at the highest levels of Government and designing investment and policy support projects. Before joining the World Bank he worked in a Japanese Government official aid agency, in Boston University's economics department, and on Wall Street. He has a strong publication, administrative and teaching record in various institutions around the world, and he is a frequent speaker and participant at conferences and seminars.
