Deborah Morton-Dare is a Chartered Accountant who specialises in financial and strategic management training for all levels of financial background, from beginners to advanced, and to audiences ranging from SME’s to FTSE 100 board level. Deborah started her professional career in corporate finance gaining wide ranging experience in a variety of corporates and financial institutions. Deborah is an experienced company director, having set up and run several businesses during her career and held numerous financial advisory roles over many years assisting companies in raising finance and structuring their finance departments.
Professional credentials and training experience
Deborah qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young (formerly Arthur Young) and has many years of experience in delivering financial training for organisations which include professional bodies such as the Investor Relations Society where she has been involved in the syllabus development and content for their professional qualification. She has been a speaker at the ACCA conferences on financial management and has delivered training for the Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT).
Deborah presents to a diverse range of corporate clients and financial institutions, including organisations such as the Bank of England, Morgan Stanley, IBM and Merrill Lynch and Westminster Council. Deborah also delivers overseas; her most recent project has been for listed companies based in Dubai.
Deborah has been published with both the Investor Relations Study guide and the Financial Times publication, Mastering Derivatives Markets, where Deborah was the author of the chapter ‘First Principles of Accounting for Derivatives’.
