Deborah Koehler

Deborah helped embed world-class management processes with the key senior managers at the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia. To embed this learning, she designed and implemented a series of 3-5 day training workshops using common tools like PowerPoint, but also free-flowing but culturally-relevant discussions, hands-on projects, and even intense exposure to drama, and poetry. In parallel, she provided private coaching sessions, as requested, to specific senior leaders. Much of this work took place in Addis Abeba; but a lot of it played out in various rural areas, where careful, ongoing adjustments had to be made in each case to the specific learning needs and preferences of the individuals involved .
