IESE Business School

David Teeters graduated with a combined B.S. / B.A. in Neuroscience, History, Political Science and Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh. He earned a M.Sc. in Economics from the London School of Economics and holds an MBA from IESE Business School.

He has over two decades of experience in public and private international financial markets. He has worked as an equity analyst in New York, and as a managing director built and managed capital markets businesses at bulge bracket investment banks in London and Singapore. He has worked extensively with sovereign wealth funds and central bank reserve managers around the world and has strong client relationships with the global hedge fund community. Over the past five years he has been a principal in private equity firms, closing transactions, managing portfolio companies, and exiting investments across industries in the lower middle market space.

David Teeters’ academic interests are in capital markets and financial market history, with a focus on sovereign balance sheets, collateral and credit creation in the Eurodollar market, safe asset determination and shortage, state fiscal capacity, green finance, financialization and decentralized finance. His interests in corporate finance include private equity and private credit, with a focus on valuation, restructuring and governance of small and medium enterprises.
