Dr. Maber specializes in the application of economic theory and data analysis to matters involving complex cost estimation, cost allocation, and profitability measurement issues. A former accounting professor, his extensive experience in academia includes teaching introductory and advanced courses in managerial and cost accounting at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Dr. Maber’s peer-reviewed research and invited discussions have been published in the Journal of Accounting Research, Contemporary Accounting Research, the European Accounting Review, Management Accounting Quarterly, the Journal of Financial Economics, and the Review of Finance. He has served as an editorial board member for the Journal of Management Accounting Research and Contemporary Accounting Research, and as a reviewer for journals such as The Accounting Review, The Journal of Law and Economics, the Journal of Economics & Management Strategy, the Journal of Corporate Finance, and Management Science. Dr. Maber was previously on the faculties of the University of Southern California and University of Michigan, as well as California Polytechnic State University, where he chaired the Budget and Long-Range Planning Committee and was a member of the Campus Advisory Council to the President for Planning, Process, and Budget.
