Biography

Dr. David M. Horowitz has an extensive work experience in the field of technology and artificial intelligence. Dr. David M. is the Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder of WiredVibe AI, a company that specializes in AI-driven music generation for a Virtual Music Therapist.

Alongside their current role, Dr. Horowitz is a Book Author at Elsevier, where they are writing a book on the Historical Development of Voicebots and Conversational AI. The book explores the application and scientific foundations of game-changing products introduced to the market since the 1980s.

Prior to their current positions, they were a Co-Founder and later the Chief Science Officer of My Voice AI Ltd, a company that pioneers conversational AI technologies. Dr. Horowitz played a key role in building a secure voice intelligence platform for speaker verification.

Dr. David M. has also been a Member of the Institute of Directors from 2015 to 2020. In 2019, Dr. Horowitz served as a Keynote Speaker on Voice at the Chatbot Summit Berlin.

Dr. Horowitz's earlier experience includes being an Inventor and Scientist in the field of Conversational AI, where they developed the Kurzweil AI VoiceRAD, a radiology reporting system with speech recognition. Dr. David M. also founded Horowitz Biometrics, conducting Artificial Intelligence R&D based on modeling acoustic cues of voice quality.

Dr. Horowitz has made significant contributions to voice biometrics technology as the Technical Director of SpeechXRays. This project, funded by the EU, combined face and voice recognition to create leading voice biometrics software.

Dr. David M. has also worked as an Independent Researcher, leading R&D and product development in Language Learning Techniques incorporating a speech recognition system. Additionally, Dr. Horowitz served as the CTO and Director of HumSing, where they developed software architecture for a music composition engine.

Overall, Dr. David M. Horowitz has a diverse background in technology research, development, and leadership roles, with a specific focus on AI-driven music generation, voice biometrics, and conversational AI.

Dr. David M. Horowitz has a diverse educational background spanning multiple fields of study. From 1977 to 1981, they attended Kalamazoo College, where they obtained a B.A. cum Laude in Music, Health Science, and Physics.

Dr. David M. then pursued further education at Northeastern University from 1985 to 1987, focusing on Electrical Engineering and Biology as a Degree Candidate. Following this, Dr. Horowitz attended UMass Chan Medical School in 1987-1988, where they completed coursework in Anatomy, Physiology, Medical Genetics, Biochemistry, Psychiatry, Nutrition, and Neuro-anatomy as a 1st year student.

Returning to Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Dr. Horowitz obtained an Sc.M. degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from 1981 to 1985. Dr. David M. later engaged in research at MIT, serving as a Research Fellow in Mechanical Engineering from 1990 to 1991.

Continuing their studies at MIT, Dr. Horowitz pursued a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from 1992 to 1996. During this time, they aspired to earn the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and contributed to the field with their research.

Beyond MIT, Dr. Horowitz expanded their academic endeavors to the University of East Anglia, where they completed a Ph.D. by Publication in Computing Sciences from 2002 to 2004.

In addition to their formal education, Dr. David M. Horowitz has also obtained certifications in various fields. In 2013, they received a Level 2 Certificate in Health and Social Care from Four Counties Training Limited. Dr. David M. also completed a Safeguarding Adults At Risk (SOVA) certification through Tina Training Initiatives for Look Ahead Care and Support. Moreover, they participated in a Founding a Start-up Business Development Course at Brent Active Citizens Centre in the same year.
